improvised music and dance
with Zoë De Sousa (dance et vocals), Philippe Foch (percussion) et Benjamin Duboc (double bass)
We are massive, balanced, voluminous
of every density, in power and in flow
our bodies in the space we hold
with vibrating half-words
we are invigorating contemplation and dust
a crimson dimension
a reflection of light
a slippery slope up to the neck
because with mass we strike, we pull
we are Volumes at work
Volumes within matter
a treatise on bulk and ravage
on the edge of silence
we are storm and fever
and even in our dreams
we maintain our composure
Volumes, fervour and solidity
in space and time
Volumes, ravenous for docility
quantity in motion
We give substance to what we touch
and we live off matter
Thus bodies of fire and stone
Volumes at all times
the meaning of our eyes
the story of our hands
completeness straddling
remains within us
form and existence
