Fado and dance duo, 2024
Zoë & Philippe De Sousa
Le soupir du sable is a moment of connection between a father, Philippe De Sousa, a Portuguese guitarist, and his daughter, Zoë De Sousa, a dancer.
The duo is rooted in a shared past : the culture of fado, its songs and its vitality. Drawing on this heritage, the two artists develop their current artistic practices (contemporary dance for one, modular synthesisers for the other), thereby opening up a new creative landscape where traditional and electronic music, song and dance, daughter and father meet.
Le soupir du sable brings together stories linked to fado, destined to be transformed and reinterpreted, at the heart of a filial and artistic dialogue.
