Flower in a Shell

A dance film shot on 16mm, this solo puts on display and wrings dry the representations of the feminine by re-enacting the cliché of its blossoming.

Set on an immaculate observation pedestal, a body extricates itself out of its fetal nylon shell and, freeing itself from the multiple layers of skin that constrain it, begins the arduous transformation that will carry it to its adult form.
